The Inner Outer Oasis
Posted by Rod Jones on

The Inner Outer Oasis: Our minds are filled with thoughts, it's self-talk. Everyone at some point needs a safe haven to rest. A sanctuary from the overwhelmingly repetitive vagaries that often drain us of happiness and even our energy. Unplug: Easy to say, hard to do. Computers think they're so smart, but they are vulnerable to a reboot or if all else fails you can turn them off and unplug. Your brain is way too smart for that trick. Just when you think you've calmed those racing thoughts down, your brain kicks in a whole new set for you to...

Quietude
Posted by Rod Jones on

Quietude: The awoken dream. Aroused by thought. Life in a day. Where do you and I go from here we ask? Ambiguous as it may sound. You and I set the stage with our recurring thoughts. They're like an internal life chaperone. Meditation and contemplation, are the words we all associate with tedious effort. One thing is for sure it manages all of our organs...

Posted by Rod Jones on

You Are Always Growing Up To The Highest Ideal Of Your Self: Maturation can be a wonderful thing if you apply it to your life's experiences. All too often, we place it in one of two categories, good or bad. The good is when we understand the things that positively happen for us are actually shaping our maturity. Now let's address the bad things that happen in our lives. Life is not always fair as various sages throughout the ages have assured us all to be the case. As much as I personally hate to agree with this, the bad...

Is Being Clever All That?
Posted by Rod Jones on

Is Being Clever All That? Being genuinely clever requires an innovative imagination. One that seems to benefit greatly from a brainy ego. Spontaneity rules. Who amongst us has not been enamored by some people's ability to be clever in an almost showy way? But yet subtle enough to make us all notice without their clever act or comment appearing to be arrogant. Cleverish by design. All forms of creativity whether it be thoughts or actual inventions require an audience to appreciate the originality. Take a look around you. Most likely you are surrounded by some pretty cool stuff. Over time...
