R: Inci, tell us about our guest Rose Bishay.
I: Rose Bishay is an entrepreneur and today we are going to talk about her journey, her thoughts and how she keeps motivated and moving forward in her career.
R: I bet she is one of those that celebrates her successes.
I: Okay...so let’s hear what our guest has to say.
R: Rose welcome back... to the Thought Row Podcast, we both have been looking forward to chatting with you - car parking lot.
I: Hi Rose, so good to have you back with us today.
R: Actually Rose was our very first guest on Thought Row. She is an entrepreneur and the sole proprietor of her own business.
I: Before we move on to our interview, we always like to ask our guests what they had for breakfast.
I: We’d like to start by discussing your business and your journey of becoming an entrepreneur.
R: Did you find encouragement from other entrepreneurs to start your own business?
I: Prior to deciding to work for yourself, what types of jobs did you have and did any of them prepare you for going into business for yourself?
R: Did you discuss with family members or relatives your desire to be an entrepreneur. And what was their reaction?
I: We know that it takes capital to launch a business. What was your funding source to get you going?
R: When we think of entrepreneurs, we often think of people in the high tech world developing interesting apps and programs. Tell us a little bit about your business model and what you sell to customers.
I: It seems like the biggest challenge for any entrepreneur is coming up with a name, securing URL’s and social media handles. Did you run into any problems when it came to selecting a name and registering everything?
R: Did you make any big mistakes that you wish you could go back and change while you were pursuing your desire to be an entrepreneur?
I: We understand that only a very small percentage of the world’s population goes into business for themselves. What was the driving force that made you decide you wanted to run your own business?
R: Were you passionate about becoming an entrepreneur? Or did the passion and drive come after you reached your first milestone?
I: What was the first thing you thought about when you decided it was time to become self employed?
R: We haven’t really defined in detail the business that you started. Tell us a little bit about your company...its name and what you offer to customers.
I: That sounds like a product that virtually everyone needs to use.
R: There are a lot of rough and dry hands in this world. What kind of feedback are you getting from your customers?
I: Do you ever get discouraged and want to give up? Has it been easy or difficult to attract customers?
R: Did you create a business and marketing plan to give yourself a roadmap to follow?
I: You are a woman entrepreneur, principally selling a product that most women want. Why did you decide to focus on products for women?
R: There seems to be more and more women that are choosing to be entrepreneurial instead of looking for a 9-5 job. Why do you think that is?
I: What advice would you give to women or any man for that matter, that wants to become an entrepreneur?
R: You’ve been sharing with us some of your insights on becoming an entrepreneur. How did you come up with this idea to sell a hand lotion that is also a hand mask?
I: What is your work routine?
R: Where do you see yourself in five years?
I: Ok so now we’re going to ask you a question that we ask our guests. If you could sit on a park bench and chat with anyone from the past, who would it be?
R: What do you most want to be remembered by?
I: Rose, we really appreciate you taking the time away from your entrepreneurial business to speak with us today. And I know our listeners will have found it interesting to hear your journey.
R: I agree with Inci, you have been very candid in discussing the different aspects of being self employed.
